V60 Non Invasive Respirator - BIPAP

Rotary Club is making a difference - Joint Project

The Goondiwindi Rotary Club and Darling Downs Southern Health have purchased a V60 Non-Invasive Respirator to be located at Goondiwindi Hospital.

The ventilator, or Bipap machine, is beneficial to elderly patients with breathing problems and young severe asthma sufferers. Rotary unveiled the machine at its annual changeover on Saturday night at the Royal Hotel - July 2018.

Goondiwindi Hospital Director of Nursing Lorraine McMurtrie said that the BiPAP Respirator was a much needed piece of equipment that could not have been purchased without the financial support of The Rotary Club.

“We are utilising funds raised at last year’s Rotary Gourmet in Gundy event and thank all our sponsors for their wonderful support of this community day out”.

The 2017 Rotary Gourmet in Gundy Committee Chairperson, Lew Verney thanked major sponsors Chesterfield Goondiwindi, Lowes Petroleum, Woods Group and the Goondiwindi Regional Council for making the purchase of a Bi Pap machine possible.
